Well today was a quite an exhillerating day for me to be honest. I woke up as always, 9AM, feeling akward and really pissed off, for no general reason of which i know. So as always i started to surf the web, focusing of what i would write on my blog yes, i like to think sometimes lol and just began to anticipate what this day is going to bring me today. I checked out the cnn news website, and saw an article about bogus whiplash injuries. I honestly didn't know what this meant, so I of course yahoo'd it and discovered a site whiplash-injuries.info - i read about what it was, and actually also found an article about fake claims. Did you have any idea that you can get a couple of hundred thousand dollars as claim? For some lousy "Injury" which to be honest, can not be properly diagnosed? Anyways, just wanted to let you know out there, that if you are thinking on driving, think about those people who deliberatly try to bump into you creating a possibility for a whiplash settlement. The creation of Japanese anime has helped a lot of people who are bored by ordinary common toon to look forward to more exciting toon creations that take us on long and exciting journey that are filled with action and adventure.

Now, for instance, there is one field in particular which take extreme liberty in design. I'm referring to the weapons used by anime characters, especially the swords. I remember first seeing the absolutely large blade held by the main character in Final Fantasy. Of course ones first reaction is shock, then incredulity. That is where most people stop. But the true anime lover is capable of taking these strange emotions further, till you finally arrive at appreciation. Or to place it more plainly, a large sword is freakin' sweet. Anime allows us to remember our childhood like nothing else. It is for youngsters that Jack and the Beanstalk were written, for it is only their flexible imagination which can encompass a giant. Maturity is a never ending pounding of reality. It forces us to accept the harsh and unforgiving nature of realism. Childhood is a soft and fluid existence. Nothing is sculpted in stone, rather everything is worked in Play-Doh. That is the curious genius of the anime creative person : he never grews up.

San Simeon - Hearst Castle
An excerpt from a very interesting blog post I found about San Simeon's Hearst Castle:
On our way driving down the coast to get to Anaheim, we made a detour so we were able to visit the Hearst Castle. My dad and I are both lovers of old house tours, Mike would go just to humor me, but my dad really enjoys them as much as I do! We also visited the Dunsmiur House in Oakland, but those pictures will be posted when I get home, they are on the other camera. Kade came with my dad and I, and he is just like his momma, completely interested in everything in the house and did the whole walk stairs and all! without complaining. Mike took Ivy down to the state beach where they watched whales and saw some sea lions and gathered shells, so it was a pretty good alternative for them!
